My Approach

I strive to deeply understand each client’s unique feelings and thoughts by creating a therapeutic environment where the client is comfortable sharing their experiences through conversation or play. My hope is that therapy provides an opportunity for clients to feel understood, to develop a deeper awareness of their emotional experiences, and to learn strategies to cope with strong emotions and challenging situations. Treatment approaches from which I typically draw are cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and play therapy.
